Jun 30, 2012 - Tasman Island

"4 Drop-outs meant only 5 renegades ventured to Tasman Island in a settling northerly swell with the big ones a solid 2m. Y-Knot loved it and so did we. In the lee of the cape we dropped onto the south-running ridge into a green-tinged 10m vis.

The structure is impressive with precipitous walls down to 45m+ where James and Andrew tri-mixed it up after 3 wetsuit-clad Tasman first timers lapped up the relative lack of current.

We pottered around the stunning precipitous bays of the cape and checked out the crazy currents boiling off the south end of Tasman Island.

For the second dive, James and Andrew elected to try the western face of Tasman below the sunbaking seals and enjoyed the large boulder field, over to them for more info....."
