"We were the hosts for the CCW this year and we planned it to be bigger and better than ever with new events, new opportunities and more fun and we delivered in spades.

On the cards were some very successful rebreather, underwater scooter and sidemount trydives which were grat fun. There was also some fantastic presentations from Chris Black, author of White Pointer South about GWS interactions in Tasmanian waters as well as a presentation on Cave Diving from the Cave Diving Association fo Australia and a presentation on rebreathers from Rubens from IDC Scuba in Melbourne. Also new this year was the funny "Blind leading the Blind" event as part of the Scuba Olympics.

While we didn't fare so well in the tugboat competition, coming second last, we should be happy that we finally, after three years got a video entry in!

The weather was fantastic throughout the weekend and heaps of diving was safely completed by the club and from all reports everyone had a ball.

If you missed it this year, TUDC will be running the event next year and apparently it will be bigger and better !
